Ricardo Ortiz practices general corporate and securities law, primarily focused on representing Mexican and foreign companies in connection with mergers and acquisitions, debt and equity financings and securities law compliance.
Mr. Ortiz advises General Counsel, CEOs, and corporate boards on matters involving litigation, corporate governance and ethics. Mr. Ortiz also represents a number of venture capital funds, private equity funds and other private investors in connection with their investments in early stage companies and exit strategies.
An exceptional legal strategist and negotiator, Ricardo Ortiz is skilled at advising clients on how to avoid the court, Ricardo has tried cases involving patent and trademark infringement, trade secrets, breach of contract, business torts, partnership and joint venture disputes, international disputes.
In his most recent practice, Mr. Ortiz has advice in multi billionaire transactions between China and Mexico in different sectors such as automotive, mining, renewal energy and oil. Mr Ortiz has successfully advised Chinese companies to established all around Latin America
Practices law in both Mexico and Spain, Mr. Ortiz obtained his Master in Law degree - from the Superior Institute of Economics and Law in Spain (ISDE) in 2009, he also earned advanced degrees in Constitutional law, Human rights and Public services from the Autonomic University Madrid.
